Magnificent antique Edwardian 12 piece cruet set.
Hailing from Birmingham, England, this antique set is circa 1880's.
From other times of era, where beautiful things graced the table's of high-end dining, this original and complete set is divine.
Featured are 6 Victorian cut crystal vessels, 3 cut crystal decanters with original faceted crystal stoppers.
Each decanter typically housed oil, vinegar, and or Worcestershire, chili sauce, or soy sauce. The 3rd bottle, commonly carrying an imported fermented sauce. As the British Empire expanded, the demand of exotic liquids and spices became a staple in high-end formal dining.
The next 3 vessels are cut crystal with EPNS tops.
A cut crystal pepper shaker or castor, with EPNS pierced star sifting button top.
A cut crystal salt shaker, with EPNS pierce star sifting button top.
A cut crystal EPNS mustard pot, with a sterling silver gilt mustard ladle...adorned with the White Rose of York, and twist stem, by Saunders & Sheperd.
Also included, are beautiful ornate Victorian silver plated pickle/olive castor tongs.
The caddy features a sweeping scrolled metal curved carrying handle, with a diamond shape separator to keep the elegant vessels steady. The base is graced upon 4 beautiful bubbly bun feet.
In excellent antique condition, and hallmarked.
